Necromunda High - Why Necromunda is a teen comedy.
With the release of the new edition of Necromunda, many of us have got back into the lore, wondering how to approach this new immersion in the underhive.
On a saturday morning (in the old world that is), some of us were discussing the basic psychology of the main houses (which started with what kind of marine chapter you'd most likely expect in the underhive and how Imperial fists suck)[Editors note: you suck].
Then the revelation that the major houses in Necromunda are just the archetypes of teen comedies just fell on us.
Now just play that song and follow us...

Riffing on the Rip-offs
Like a rotting corpse crawling from the grave to chew your innards and suck your brains, Scale Creep rises again to bring you more genius from the gutter.
This time we're going to lash together a post based on the flimsiest of ideas and make it float down the river of inspiration through sheer force of will.
Being gamers of a particular persuasion, we are always on the lookout for means of fuelling our ludicrous ideas. New madness to bring to the table top in inch high form. Being lazy old men we love to be sitting on our backsides in order to find these nuggets of ingenuity. And if we are going to rip off other peoples ideas then it's even better if we are ripping off people who have already ripped of other people!
Ever wondered what Rogue Trader's Helsreach taken to the disco would look like ?

FATAL DEVIATION 2: THE SIDE SCROLLING COMBAT ADVENTURE
Greetings to all the Creepers out there! Today we're bringing you something extra special, the (probably) eagerly anticipated battle report of the game of the sequel of the movie Fatal Deviation, starring Irish Martial Arts hero Jimmy Bennett, his girl Nicola, a cyber hobo and a giant ball-sac. Asslessman : There are times when men just cannot escape the prejudices commonly associated with their gender. Not even when these men are some of the finest examples of bearded piles of witty muscles, so certainly not when those men are my brother James and I ...
What is all of this about ? How does it have any relevance with Zombies ? I hear you say ? Well, just stop interrupting us and we're about to tell you.

Captain Crooks : Yes Brother Ass, there comes a time when even the best of friends and even brothers must come to blows and in recent days the gauntlet has been thrown.

Dragon metal tag IV : The Dino Bratt
After Paul tagged me for the Dragon metal tag I had no choice but to man up and come up with something. Consider the previous entries and you'll realise I had to come up with something unusual to stay clear from the paths my WIPster friends had explored already.
That's why I thought of coming up with something new. The Dragon metal tag challenge is here to boost our imagination and creativity so I thought I'd push the limits of the concept a bit.
When it comes to modelling, my heart is always balancing between sci-fi and fantasy and dragons are most usually associated with fantasy...

Fatally Deviant...
Asslessman: "A blonde, an Irish karateka and a monk walk into a bar...".
That could be the start of the best of jokes but it's actually the start of a very serious project that's been worked on in our lounge lately.
That could be the start of the best of jokes but it's actually the start of a very serious project that's been worked on in our lounge lately.
There are times when watching a bad movie is not enough. These are times when you need other people to see it too so they can share the experience with you. There are also time when those people need to watch it more than once to get the full might of it and there are even times when all those people feel the urge to spend some more time and energy on the subject...
Long story short, some of us WIPsters have watched Fatal Deviation and felt the need to recreate this (unfortunately) unforgettable piece of Irish culture, knowing full well what insanity awaited us on the path...

La Déviation Fatale - A Discourse on Paper Counters
I'm not entirely sure how it started. I may have made some vaguely taunting comments about using paper counters for gaming - not the printed, card-mounted versions mind, but the hastily scribbled ones on scraps of torn paper.
Some time later, this had become a running joke. It turns out that cheetor has a deep-seated abhorrence towards such low tech gaming aids. Like these:
